Neighborhood Houses welcomes individual, ongoing volunteers to help in our programs or administrative office. Applications and background checks will be completed for all ongoing volunteers. Each of our three programs has different volunteer needs, so a diverse group of volunteers are needed to support each program. Below are the ongoing volunteer opportunities available for each program. Please make sure to read the listed qualifications before applying.
Early Childhood Education Center at Caroline Mission
Volunteer duties may vary depending on the current needs of Caroline Mission. Volunteers may choose to help in one of the classrooms, spend time outside gardening or assist with light office work.
School Age Services
Our after school programs are located at 17 sites in the St. Louis City. Volunteers will assist with distributing the evening snack or meal, provide homework help for the students, and support to the site manager in the execution of planned curriculum.
Girls' Night Out
(program meets at Caroline Mission) Volunteers will assist with the weekly session or with childcare while the mothers attend Girls’ Night Out.
